University of Basrah Organizes a Workshop on Artificial Intelligence in Scientific Research
The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah organized a scientific workshop entitled “Artificial Intelligence in Scientific Research: Limits of Use and Academic Responsibility for Graduate Students”, with the participation of graduate students and faculty members.
The workshop aimed to introduce the concept of artificial intelligence and its applications in scientific research, clarify the permissible academic uses, and highlight the ethical considerations and scientific responsibility when employing these technologies in preparing theses and dissertations.
During the workshop, Dr. Khalida Salem Khudair and Dr. Mujtaba Abdul Wahab Taher delivered presentations on the most important AI tools and their positive applications in academic writing, summarizing studies, and enhancing scientific language.
The workshop recommended establishing clear guidelines for AI use and promoting a culture of academic integrity and scholarly rigor.
