University of Basrah Organizes a Workshop on Women’s Rights
The College of Marine Sciences at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on women’s rights under Iraqi and international law.
The workshop aimed to introduce participants to women’s rights as stipulated in Iraqi and international legislation, as well as to discuss the challenges women face in accessing and exercising these rights.
The workshop included the presentation of several research papers in which researchers discussed the concept of leadership and its importance in community building, the legal frameworks related to women’s rights and mechanisms for their implementation, in addition to showcasing inspiring models of women’s leadership.
