University of Basrah Organizes a Panel Discussion on Visual Pollution
The Basrah and Arabian Gulf Studies Center at the University of Basrah organized a panel discussion entitled “The Most Prominent Manifestations of Visual Pollution in the Al-Abla and Five Mile Areas of Basrah City for the Year 2023.”
The panel, presented by lecturer Eilaf Ali Marzouk Al-Mousawi, aimed to shed light on the most significant forms of visual pollution and to identify them in the Al-Abla and Five Mile areas, based on a field study conducted by the researcher.
The discussion addressed the concept of visual pollution and its most notable manifestations within the study area, in addition to outlining its main causes. It also reviewed a set of solutions and proposals to address this problem and reduce its negative impacts on the urban environment and society.
