University of Basrah Enhances Students’ Skills Through Field Training Between the Colleges of Veterinary Medicine and Agriculture
The College of Veterinary Medicine organized a specialized educational field training for second-year students at the animal fields affiliated with the College of Agriculture.
This initiative comes within the framework of developing students’ practical skills and linking academic curricula with applied reality through a series of extracurricular activities aimed at preparing a generation of veterinarians who are well-versed in all aspects of field management.
The field training primarily aimed to enrich students’ knowledge of the latest techniques used in breeding and feeding methods for various categories of farm animals, through a series of lectures delivered by faculty members from the College of Agriculture.
The organizers of the activity sought to bridge the gap between theoretical instruction and practical application by immersing students in a real working environment, thereby contributing to a deeper understanding of the actual challenges facing the livestock sector in Iraq.
