University of Basrah Organizes a Guidance Seminar on the Human Journey Toward Meaning
The College of Administration and Economics, in cooperation with the Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah, organized a guidance seminar entitled “The Human Journey Toward Meaning: How to Shape Your Goals and Roles to Confront the Crisis of Meaning,” with the participation of a number of students and interested attendees.
The seminar aimed to enhance students’ awareness of the concept of meaning and its impact on mental health, and to develop their ability to identify goals aligned with their values and life roles, thereby helping them confront frustration and psychological stress.
The seminar included a lecture delivered by Sajjad Nayef Al-Salihi, a faculty member at the Oil Institute, who focused on the crisis of meaning and its relationship to clarity of goals, self-awareness, and identity building.
The seminar recommended continuing to hold guidance programs, strengthening the role of psychological counseling units, and promoting a culture of awareness and meaning among students.
