University of Basrah Organizes a Lecture on the Extraction of Aromatic Plants
The Natural History Museum at the University of Basrah organized a scientific lecture on the extraction of aromatic plants.
The lecture aimed to highlight the importance of aromatic plants and the methods used to extract their essential oils and active compounds, as well as to explain their applications in medical, industrial, and environmental fields. It also emphasized the role of scientific research in the optimal utilization of natural resources.
During the lecture, the Director of the Museum, Dr. Shatha Mohammed Hamza, discussed the various methods for extracting aromatic plants, outlining the differences between traditional and modern techniques, and clarifying the scientific requirements that must be followed to ensure product quality and safety.
This lecture forms part of a series of educational activities organized by the museum with the aim of enhancing scientific knowledge and promoting environmental and health awareness.
