Master’s Thesis at the University of Basrah Explores Growth and Productivity Levels of Oat Crops
The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah studied a master’s thesis titled “Contribution of Different Levels of NPK Fertilizer and Humic Acid Concentrations on the Growth and Productivity of Oat Crops.”
The thesis, presented by researcher Waleed Khalid Shkhimat, aimed to determine the optimal fertilizer levels and humic acid concentration, as well as the best combinations of both factors to achieve the highest yield and best quality.
The results demonstrated a significant effect of both factors on improving growth characteristics, which positively reflected on increasing yield both quantitatively and qualitatively.
The study recommended adopting an NPK fertilizer level of 120:75:90 kg and using a humic acid concentration of 18 g/L, as this combination significantly enhanced growth, yield, and quality traits.
