University of Basrah Holds Its Annual Scientific Evaluation Conference
The Palm Research Center at the University of Basrah held its annual evaluation conference for the 2024–2025 academic year, attended by the Secretary of the University Council, Dr. Majid Abdullah Natiq, along with senior administrative and academic staff.
The conference featured a presentation delivered by the Center’s Director, Dr. Khairallah Mousa Awad, which highlighted the Center’s most significant scientific and research achievements. These included published research outputs, scientific workshops, seminars, panel discussions, and applied field activities that contribute to the development of the date palm sector.
Dr. Awad noted that the Center’s researchers, across various academic ranks and with diverse agricultural, environmental, and technical specializations, have accomplished notable scientific and research achievements over the past four years. These efforts have played an important role in supporting scientific research and serving the agricultural community in Basrah Governorate.
