University of Basrah Organizes a Guidance Seminar on Self-Development and Self-Confidence
The College of Administration and Economics, in collaboration with the Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah, organized a guidance seminar titled “Self-Development and Self-Confidence”, with the participation of a number of students and staff members.
The seminar aimed to equip participants with the psychological and practical tools to enhance self-confidence, transform fear of failure into a motivation for learning, and strengthen communication skills and emotional intelligence to face challenges with resilience and adaptability.
The seminar, presented by Dr. Shahad Jasim Mohammed, Dr. Zahraa Abdulhussein Dhahir, and Dr. Zainab Abdulkhaleq Majid, covered topics including personal identity building, self-skill development, awareness of strengths and weaknesses, emotional management, and overcoming negative thoughts.
The seminar recommended the importance of continuous self-assessment, fostering a supportive positive environment, and committing to lifelong learning to promote personal and professional growth.
