University of Basrah Participates in a Symposium on Arab Alliances for Scientific Research and Innovation
Dr. Uday Bashir Issa, Director of the Ibn Sina Center for E-Learning at the University of Basrah, participated in a virtual symposium on Arab Alliances for Scientific Research and Innovation, organized by the General Secretariat of the Union of Arab Scientific Research Councils.
The symposium aimed to develop and strengthen Arab scientific cooperation in support of research activities and to establish integrated Arab research teams focusing on topics of shared interest to Arab countries. These initiatives are funded by participating institutions, which in turn implement and support the proposed research projects.
The symposium also introduced the Arab Alliances for Scientific Research and Innovation initiative and outlined its strategic objectives through a series of lectures delivered by a group of Arab academics specializing in diverse scientific fields. The speakers provided detailed explanations of the scientific principles underpinning the initiative, as well as the mechanisms for the participation of researchers and research institutions within these alliances.
