University of Basrah Organizes a Workshop on Methods for Extracting Medicinal Plants
The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah organized a workshop entitled “Methods for the Preparation of Medicinal Plant Extracts.”
The workshop aimed to identify the most effective extraction methods and solvents, as well as to clarify the appropriate criteria for solvent selection.
The program included a specialized lecture delivered by several faculty members, focusing on the scientific approaches to preparing plant extracts. The lecture addressed the classification of extracts based on the solvents and equipment used, in addition to a practical explanation of the mechanisms for collecting and drying extracts and their effective application in scientific research.
