University of Basrah Organizes an Awareness Lecture on Equality and Poverty Eradication
The College of Dentistry at the University of Basrah organized an awareness lecture entitled “Equality and Poverty Eradication”, which highlighted the main causes of poverty and explored ways to reduce this phenomenon across various aspects of life.
The lecture aimed to raise societal awareness about the concept of equality, emphasize the causes and effects of poverty, and highlight the pivotal role of education and intellectual awareness in combating poverty and building a cohesive society founded on solidarity and social justice.
Delivered by Notary Ahmed Ayesh Maghames, the lecture underscored the importance of education, academic excellence, and intellectual understanding as key tools in addressing poverty, given their essential role in fostering creativity and developing individual capacities, ultimately benefiting both individuals and the wider community.
The lecture recommended perseverance and the pursuit of excellence as two fundamental pillars for advancing Iraqi society and achieving prosperity across scientific, cultural, and economic domains.
