University of Basrah Organizes a Scientific Lecture on Cancer Cell Culture
The College of Dentistry at the University of Basrah organized a specialized scientific lecture on “Cancer Cell Culture”, attended by a number of faculty members and students interested in research and laboratory work.
The lecture aimed to enhance participants’ scientific knowledge and research skills in cell culture, improve laboratory efficiency, and support research activities and pharmaceutical experiments.
Delivered by Dr. Hanaa Ali Hussein, the lecture introduced the technique of culturing cancer cells ex vivo and highlighted its role in supporting scientific research and conducting drug experiments.
The lecture also covered the general stages of cell culture, methods for laboratory monitoring, and techniques for long-term preservation through cryopreservation, in accordance with the established scientific standards in research laboratories.
