University of Basrah Organizes a Scientific Lecture on Cancer Induction in Laboratory Animal Models and Its Effects on Different Body Tissues
The College of Dentistry at the University of Basrah organized a scientific lecture entitled “Cancer Induction in Laboratory Animal Models and Its Effects on Different Body Tissues”, attended by faculty members, postgraduate students, and researchers.
The lecture aimed to broaden participants’ scientific perspectives and highlight the significance of these research techniques in advancing laboratory studies, thereby enhancing the quality of scientific research conducted by postgraduate students and researchers and elevating academic output.
Delivered by Dr. Faten Latif Khafi, the lecture introduced the various types of laboratory animals used in scientific research, emphasizing the established methods for inducing cancerous cells and tumor foci within these animal models. It also explained the mechanisms of cancer cell implantation and examined their effects on different body tissues.
