University of Basrah Organizes a Seminar on the Use of Stimulants During Examination Periods
The College of Nursing at the University of Basrah organized a seminar on the use of stimulants during examination periods.
The seminar aimed to identify the effects of consuming stimulant beverages and medications of various types during exams, a practice commonly observed among students, often intended to promote wakefulness, increase energy, and enhance activity levels.
The seminar, delivered by Lecturer Attour Talib, Dr. Saba Adnan, and researcher Nours Talib, discussed the symptoms experienced by students during examination periods, during which many resort to different types of stimulants under the belief that they are the most effective means of improving cognitive performance and comprehension within a limited time frame, as well as alleviating headaches, lethargy, and fatigue.
