University of Basrah Continues Maintenance and Rehabilitation of Student Housing Buildings in the University Dormitories
The University of Basrah continues to carry out comprehensive maintenance and rehabilitation works on student housing buildings within the university dormitories, as part of its ongoing commitment to providing a safe and suitable residential environment that supports the educational process and enhances students’ psychological and living stability.
These works are being implemented in accordance with the plan approved by the University Presidency to develop and improve the infrastructure and service facilities of the dormitories. The maintenance and rehabilitation activities included addressing structural and service-related issues, servicing electrical systems, surveillance cameras, water supply and sewage networks, as well as rehabilitating residential rooms and public facilities in line with approved standards and in response to the requirements of university housing.
The Director of the Department of Student Dormitory Affairs, Lecturer Muntadhar Jumaa Mahdi, confirmed that these efforts are being carried out under the direct supervision of the President of the University of Basrah to ensure the quality of the completed works and adherence to the specified timelines, while also taking into account students’ observations and needs and working to overcome any obstacles that may affect the level of services provided.
