University of Basrah Participates in the Arab Forum for Children’s Theater
The College of Fine Arts at the University of Basrah participated in the 20th session of the Arab Forum for Children’s Theater, held in the Republic of Tunisia, with wide participation from Arab countries.
The participation included the theatrical performance “The Rabbit and Winter,” directed and performed by student Mariam Ahmed Ismail under the supervision of faculty member Yasser Mathna. The event aimed to strengthen cultural exchange between the College of Fine Arts at the University of Basrah and specialized Arab institutions in children’s theater.
The performance received widespread appreciation for its educational and artistic message, conveying important moral and educational values, and highlighting the role of theater as a fundamental pillar in human development and in cultivating cultural and humanitarian awareness among children.
