University of Basrah Organizes an Awareness Seminar on First Aid and Safety
The College of Education at Al-Qurnah, University of Basrah, organized an awareness seminar entitled “First Aid for Safety”, with the attendance and participation of a number of faculty members, staff, and students.
The seminar aimed to promote a culture of first aid and enhance health awareness among students, thereby contributing to reducing the negative consequences of injuries and strengthening the ability to provide initial assistance until specialized emergency teams arrive.
The seminar included a lecture delivered by Dr. Nadia Kazem Thamer and Dr. Fadheela Qasim Saleh Al-Ali, addressing the importance of first aid and its vital role within the university campus.
The program comprised both theoretical and practical components on how to deal with emergency situations, such as partial and complete choking, epilepsy, and various accidents, in addition to cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
