University of Basrah Holds Celebration for the Birth of Imam Ali (Peace Be Upon Him)
The Culture and Community Committee at the Marine Science Center of the University of Basrah held a joyful celebration marking the birth of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him).
The event aimed to highlight the noble stances and virtues of Imam Ali, which constitute a fundamental part of Islamic history, while emphasizing the values he left for future generations.
The celebration included a lecture delivered by Sheikh Aqeel Al-Abadi, who discussed the wisdom and virtues of Imam Ali, stressing the importance of knowledge, continuous learning, and spreading education among people, as well as the significance of time management and making the most of every moment in life.
Al-Abadi emphasized that celebrating the birth of Imam Ali is not merely a religious occasion, but also an opportunity to remind everyone of the high values that should guide daily life, particularly in the realms of knowledge and righteous deeds. The event also featured cultural segments and poetry highlighting Imam Ali’s exemplary life and his profound impact on Islamic history.
