University of Basrah Organizes a Human Rights Festival
The College of Administration and Economics, in cooperation with the Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah, organized a festival marking the International Human Rights Day under the slogan “Promoting Rights and Dignity.”
The festival aimed to reinforce the values of justice and human dignity, raise awareness of human rights culture within the university community, and emphasize the important role of the Human Rights Unit in supporting and promoting these principles.
The event included a scientific seminar entitled “Towards an Equal and Coexisting World,” in addition to the screening of an awareness-raising video. It also featured student activities under the title “Our Voice Is Our Duty,” with the participation of students from the Department of Management Information Systems, highlighting the role of students in spreading concepts of rights and freedoms.
