University of Basrah Organizes Visit to the Elderly Care Home in Basrah
The Palm Research Center and the College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah organized a joint visit to the Elderly Care Home in the governorate, in cooperation with the Sana Basrah Humanitarian Foundation, as part of efforts to enhance community integration and reinforce the humanitarian role of academic institutions.
During the visit, the participating delegation reviewed the conditions of the home’s residents and their humanitarian needs, and provided moral support, contributing to the promotion of social solidarity and care for the elderly.
This visit comes within the framework of the University of Basrah and its research centers’ commitment to fulfilling their social responsibility and activating partnerships with civil society organizations, reflecting the university’s dedication to its humanitarian and ethical duty toward this segment of society, as well as its support for initiatives serving deserving groups within the community.
