University of Basrah Discusses Joint Cooperation with Al-Abbas Holy Shrine
The College of Arts at the University of Basrah held discussions with a delegation from the Library and Manuscripts House of the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine on enhancing professional expertise in the fields of librarianship and information systems, as well as exploring the latest internationally recognized methods and standards in cataloging and classification.
Dr. Hala Ghalib Al-Nahi, Director of the College of Arts Library, stated that the visit falls within the framework of joint academic and cultural cooperation between the University and the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine. She emphasized its role in strengthening professional expertise, developing library practices, updating the cataloging and classification systems adopted by the college library, and highlighting the importance of employing modern digital technologies in managing information resources. The visit also aimed to enhance joint cooperation in the areas of training and professional capacity building.
