The University of Basrah Receives Students of Al-Irfan Intermediate School for Girls
The Secretariat of the Central Library at the University of Basrah received students and teaching staff from Al-Irfan Intermediate School for Girls as part of a scientific school visit.
The Secretary of the Central Library, Dr. Ahmed Razzaq Al-Fartousi, stated that the visit aimed to familiarize students with the library’s facilities and departments, its history of establishment and development, and the valuable and rare books it houses, which represent an important intellectual heritage of Iraqi civilization.
Dr. Al-Fartousi added that this long-established library has played a significant role in sustaining knowledge and promoting the cultural awareness of individuals and Iraqi society. He also highlighted the indispensable services it provides to undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as researchers and scholars from various Iraqi universities, in addition to its extensive collection of books, sources, periodicals, and scientific references in both print and electronic formats.
