The University of Basrah Organizes an Online Workshop on Scientific Research Writing Skills
The Ibn Sina Center for E-Learning at the University of Basrah organized a developmental online workshop on scientific research writing skills, with the participation of faculty members and researchers from the university.
The workshop aimed to introduce participants to the process of constructing a comprehensive research framework, starting from the title and abstract through to the conclusion and recommendations, as well as writing in a clear and objective scientific style. It also focused on mastering editing and linguistic proofreading skills and accurately identifying and documenting sources.
The workshop, delivered by the Director of the Ibn Sina Center for E-Learning, Dr. Uday Bashir Issa, included an explanation of scientific writing methods, emphasizing the use of simple and accurate academic language, avoiding ambiguity and figurative terminology, presenting ideas in a coherent and progressive manner, and ensuring that each section effectively supports the others.
