University of Basrah Organizes Panel Discussion on Digital Transformation
The Basrah and Arabian Gulf Studies Center at the University of Basrah organized a panel discussion entitled “Digital Transformation in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Countries and Its Economic Dimensions.”
The discussion aimed to examine the current state of digital transformation in GCC countries and its role in promoting economic growth through the development of e-commerce and the attraction of investments, in addition to the adoption of artificial intelligence applications that have significantly enhanced the efficiency of business operations and accelerated service delivery.
The panel, presented by Dr. Ahmed Saddam, addressed the key pillars of digital transformation, foremost among them qualified human resources that should integrate with smart government systems responsible for digital connectivity between state institutions, private sector companies, and citizens, thereby achieving operational efficiency and rapid service provision.
