University of Basrah Organizes a Scientific Seminar on Employing Artificial Intelligence Applications to Enhance Academic Performance and Scientific Research
The College of Dentistry at the University of Basrah organized a specialized scientific seminar entitled “The Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Applications to Improve Academic Performance,” as part of its efforts to keep pace with modern technological developments and integrate them into the academic environment.
The seminar aimed to enhance the competencies of faculty members and researchers by introducing the practical applications of artificial intelligence in education and scientific research, particularly in organizing academic content, enriching presentations, and accelerating the completion of medical research.
The seminar, delivered by Lecturer Murtadha Imad Abdulkarim, included a review of several smart tools, such as Napkin AI for converting texts into visual diagrams that support lectures, and Google NotebookLM for analyzing sources and organizing scientific notes. The seminar also emphasized the importance of the responsible use of these technologies and ensuring scientific accuracy when relying on their outputs.
