Students of the university’s dormitory departments at the University of Basrah commemorated the martyrdom of Lady Zainab (Peace Be Upon Her), in remembrance of her enduring stance of patience, steadfastness, and defense of Islamic and noble human principles.
The occasion included a mourning gathering, during which a religious lecture was delivered by Dr. Mansour Al-Batt, a scholar specializing in Quranic sciences and interpretation.
