University of Basrah Celebrates the Birth of Imam Ali (Peace Be Upon Him) with a Central Cultural Festival
The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah organized a central festival and cultural celebration to mark the birth anniversary of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (Peace Be Upon Him) under the slogan “Ali: Beacon of Knowledge and Generosity,” with wide participation from faculty members and students.
The festival included a speech by the college dean, emphasizing the importance of drawing inspiration from the humanistic and scholarly values exemplified by Imam Ali (PBUH), including patience, justice, and dedication to academic work.
The celebration also featured the recitation of poetry, artistic performances, and handicrafts reflecting the spirit of the occasion, alongside sessions highlighting Imam Ali’s (PBUH) thoughts on leadership and development. The event underscored that commemorating this anniversary reinforces educational values and motivates service to the community.
