University of Basrah Organizes a Workshop on the Linguistic Reference of the Arabic Language
The College of Arts at the University of Basrah organized a workshop entitled “The Linguistic Reference of the Arabic Language in Ancient Languages: Akkadian as a Model.”
The workshop aimed to introduce the origins of languages and explore the roots of the Arabic language.
The workshop included a lecture delivered by Dr. Adel Hashim, a faculty member at the college, in which he highlighted the importance of studying the Akkadian language as an ancient language whose roots serve as key tools for understanding the meanings of many Arabic words, particularly those found in the Holy Qur’an.
