The University of Basrah commemorated the annual anniversary of the martyrdom of the Leaders of Victory at the Karma Ali Colleges Complex.
In a speech delivered on behalf of the University President, the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Dr. Haider Oufi Ahmed, stated: “Today, we gather on an occasion that carries profound national significance by recalling the heroic stances of the Leaders of Victory—those who inscribed pages of pride and dignity with their blood and sacrifices.”
Dr. Oufi added: “In order to ensure that the sacrifices of these heroes remain vivid in the minds of future generations, the University of Basrah has inaugurated a commemorative plaque bearing the image of the Leaders of Victory alongside Sayyid of the Resistance, Hassan Nasrallah, as symbols of steadfastness in the face of injustice and aggression.”
He emphasized that “this inauguration is not merely a visual documentation, but rather a revival of great values—the values of peoples’ resilience in defending their dignity and land.”
