University of Basrah Academic Participates in a Conference on the Protection of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities
A faculty member from the College of Arts at the University of Basrah, Dr. Abdul Amir Hashim Alawi, participated in the Conference on the Protection of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities and Adolescents from Abuse, organized by Leeds Professional University in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
His participation included presenting a research paper addressing the challenges faced by adolescents with intellectual disabilities and the appropriate methods for dealing with them.
The research aimed to define the concept of adolescence and intellectual disability, as well as to highlight the physiological changes experienced by adolescents during this developmental stage.
