University of Basrah Holds a Lecture on Educational Quality for the Engineering Specialization
The Center for Continuing Education and Development at the University of Basrah held a scientific lecture on educational quality for the engineering specialization as part of the Sixth Teaching Methods Course.
The lecture aimed to introduce the concepts of Total Quality Management (TQM) and its role in improving educational processes, as well as to explore appropriate solutions to problems through scientifically applicable approaches.
The lecture, delivered by Dr. Ali Latif Tareesh, covered key concepts of quality control and quality assurance, the Pareto Chart, SWOT analysis, the Plan–Do–Check–Act (PDCA) continuous improvement cycle, in addition to the requirements of ISO certification.
The lecture emphasized the importance of comprehensive implementation of quality principles in education through analyzing causes and outcomes and addressing challenges, thereby contributing to the enhancement of academic standards and the achievement of effective educational outcomes.
