University of Basrah Contributes to E-Book on Antibiotics
Researchers Dr. Ammar Yasser Jassim and Dr. Amir Abbas Mohammed from the Marine Science Center at the University of Basrah contributed a chapter to an international e-book on emerging antimicrobials, titled:
“Addressing the Global Challenge of Bacterial Drug Resistance: Insights, Strategies, and Future Directions.” The chapter is part of the book *Emerging Antimicrobials: Sources, Mechanisms of Action, Spectrum of Activity, Combination Antimicrobial Therapy, and Resistance Mechanisms*, published by the international publishing house Frontiers in Microbiology. Frontiers is a reputable scientific journal ranked in Q1 with an impact factor of 5.2 and a website score of 6.5.
The chapter addresses the global challenges of bacterial drug resistance, reviewing the latest insights, treatment strategies, and future directions for mitigating the increasing resistance. This contribution supports international research efforts.
