University of Basrah Holds Scientific Workshop on Nursing Fundamentals
The College of Dentistry at University of Basrah held a scientific workshop entitled "Nursing Fundamentals," which covered the different types of injections (intramuscular, intravenous, and subcutaneous) and their proper administration to patients according to established scientific principles.
The workshop aimed to enhance the scientific and practical knowledge of nursing participants and improve their professional competence.
The workshop, presented by Mr. Haider Hamad Issa and Mr. Imad Mahdi Saleh, included both theoretical and practical components. A detailed explanation of the anatomical information related to muscles and skin was provided, along with a demonstration of the correct injection sites for each type of injection. The workshop also covered the parts and types of injection equipment available, the preparatory steps and procedures before injection, and addressed the most common errors and how to avoid them.
