Master's Thesis at the University of Basrah Investigates the Effect of Tip Pruning and Cobalt Application
A master's thesis at the College of Agriculture, University of Basrah, investigated the effect of tip pruning and cobalt application on the growth and yield of some green cowpea varieties cultivated in the desert region of southern Iraq.
The thesis, submitted by researcher Sabah Hassan Awda, aimed to evaluate the impact of tip pruning and different concentrations of cobalt, as well as to identify the most suitable variety for desert environmental conditions.
The study included a field experiment to examine the response of the varieties to tip pruning and cobalt application, measuring vegetative growth indicators, chemical properties, and yield components, and comparing them with a control treatment, with the goal of improving agricultural productivity.
