University of Basrah Strengthens Cooperation Between Fine Arts and Science Museums
In pursuit of broadening students' artistic and intellectual horizons and introduce them to biodiversity as a vital source of artistic inspiration and visual creativity, the Natural History Museum at the University of Basrah hosted a group of students from the College of Fine Arts for a scientific and cultural visit.
The visit aimed to familiarize students with the importance of science museums and their role in documenting natural heritage, as well as the use of biological models, skeletons, and taxidermied animals to support artistic studies, particularly in the fields of painting, sculpture, and design.
The students toured the museum's various halls and viewed the diverse exhibits, listening to simplified scientific explanations about the characteristics of living organisms and their natural environments, thus contributing to strengthening the interaction between science and the arts.
This visit reflects the University of Basrah's commitment to strengthening cooperation between different academic disciplines and promoting knowledge integration between the scientific and artistic fields.
