University of Basrah Welcomes Al-Sayyida Hajar Primary School
The Natural History Museum at the University of Basrah welcomed students from Al-Sayyida Hajar Primary School, accompanied by their teachers, for a scientific and educational visit aimed at fostering a love of learning among the students and introducing them to the world of living organisms and biodiversity.
The visit aimed to simplify scientific concepts for the students and enhance their scientific curiosity through direct exposure to biological exhibits. It also aimed to familiarize them with the importance of science museums and their role in disseminating environmental awareness from the earliest stages of schooling.
The students toured the museum's various halls, where they viewed taxidermied animals, skeletons, and environmental models. The children were clearly engaged and delighted by what they saw and listened to simplified explanations provided by the museum staff, tailored to their age group.
This visit is part of the awareness programs organized by the museum to support the educational process and instill environmental awareness in the students.
