University of Basrah Enhances Cultural Cooperation with Museums in Southern Iran
As part of its efforts to strengthen international cultural and civilizational cooperation between universities, the Natural History Museum at the University of Basrah welcomed Mr. Ali Hussein Okhim, representative of Al-Thaqalayn Company, to discuss prospects for joint cooperation between the Basra Natural History Museum and museums in southern Iran.
The visit aimed to arrange a series of cultural and scientific trips from the Iranian side and to organize exchange programs with Iraq to explore and study museums and historical sites, thereby contributing to enhanced cultural and intellectual exchange between the two sides.
During the visit, an agreement was also reached to exchange scientific and technical expertise between the Basra Natural History Museum and the Museum of Uzbekistan in the Islamic Republic of Iran, which will support the development of museum work and raise the scientific and research standards.
This step comes as part of the University of Basrah's endeavor to expand its regional relations and engage with international museum experiences, thereby strengthening its cultural and scientific role at both the local and international levels.
