University of Basrah Organizes Seminar on Religious Identity and Confronting Foreign Cultures
The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah organized an educational seminar entitled “The Religious Identity of University Students in the Face of Foreign Cultures – A Quranic Educational Perspective,” coinciding with the celebration of National Quran Day.
The seminar aimed to introduce the concept of foreign cultures and the sources of their infiltration through the digital sphere and academic openness.
The seminar, presented by Dr. Falih Abdul-Ridha Al-Mousawi, Director of the Imam Hussein Center (peace be upon him) at the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein, focused on consumerism and its negative effects.
