Book by Two University of Basrah Professors on the Soviet Union's Policy Toward the Zionist Movement Has Been Published
The book, "The Soviet Union's Policy Toward the Zionist Movement 1922-1946," by Dr. Haider Abdul-Ridha Hassan and Dr. Aida Sami, both professors at the College of Arts, has been published by Dar Al-Khaleej Publishing and Distribution in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The book comprises four chapters in which the authors analyze the various stages of Soviet policy toward the Zionist movement in Russia in the late 19th century, through the positions of the Bolshevik government in the post-Revolutionary period, and up to Soviet policy after World War II, particularly the post-war settlements that led to the partition of Palestine.
