University of Basrah Discusses Activating the Doctors' Protection Law with the Doctors' Syndicate
The Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Basrah, Dr. Nawfal Ali Al-Mubarak, met with the Head of the Doctors' Syndicate in Basra Governorate, Dr. Wissam Al-Rudaini.
The meeting aimed to activate the Doctors' Protection Law, which guarantees doctors the ability to practice their profession in a safe and stable environment. At the same time, it ensures patients have fair and transparent means to obtain their rights without abuse or violation of the principles of justice. This law protects doctors from assaults, tribal demands, and extortion. It also encourages medical staff to work freely and protects their professional reputation, in addition to guaranteeing the protection of expatriate doctors upon their return to the country.
