University of Basrah Holds Lecture on Digital Content Development for Unit 4 of Applied Studies
The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah held a lecture on developing digital content for Unit 4 of the Teaching Methods course, part of the updated curriculum for the Southern Region, within the applied studies program.
The lecture, which is part of the Teaching Methods course, updated curriculum for the Southern Region within the applied studies program, aimed to equip trainees with the knowledge of designing effective online lectures and PowerPoint (PPT) presentations.
The lecture, presented by Dr. Mays Basil Jalil, a faculty member at the College of Medicine, University of Basrah, covered the concept and importance of online lectures, types of e-learning, and how to design effective online lectures. It also addressed the preparation of effective PowerPoint (PPT) presentations to develop trainees' skills and enhance digital content. Several individual and group activities were also presented during the lecture, along with assignments for participants to complete and upload to the online classroom for the applied studies group.
The faculty member recommended familiarizing oneself with modern electronic platforms for preparing lectures, engaging students online, and emphasizing their role in the lecture as the central focus of the educational process.
