The University of Basrah Hosts the Meeting of the Deans of Colleges of Agriculture in Iraq
The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah hosted the periodic meeting of the Committee of Deans of Colleges of Agriculture in Iraqi universities, with the participation of deans from various academic institutions.
The meeting was opened by the President of the University of Basrah, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim Al-Asadi, with a welcoming address in which he emphasized the vital role of colleges of agriculture in supporting food security and sustainable development, and in preparing specialized scientific personnel in the fields of agriculture and food science.
He stressed the importance of finding practical solutions to increase student enrollment and enhance evening and postgraduate programs.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the deans were honored, and the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Muhammad Al-Shawi, presented a special token of appreciation to the University President in recognition of his continued support.
