University of Basrah Organizes an Online Workshop on Educational Guidance as an Approach to Preventing Behavioral Deviations
The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah, in cooperation with the College of Education for Women, organized an online workshop entitled “Educational Guidance as an Approach to Preventing Behavioral Deviations.”
The workshop aimed to highlight the role of educational guidance in the proactive prevention of behavioral problems, develop skills in behavior control and sound decision-making, and enhance self-confidence and trust in educational counselors within educational institutions.
The workshop, presented by Dr. Rafif Abdul-Hafiz Al-Riyahi and faculty member Abeer Khudair Abbas, covered the concept and importance of educational guidance, the causes of behavioral deviations among students, and the student's role in prevention.
The workshop recommended activating educational guidance, organizing awareness seminars, and strengthening cooperation with families and educational media.
