University of Basrah Organizes Specialized Course on Smart Wheat Crop Management
The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah organized a two-week specialized training course entitled "Smart Wheat Crop Management." The course targeted technical staff at the Basra Agriculture Directorate. Lectures were delivered by professors from the departments of Field Crops, Agricultural Mechanization, and Soil Science and Water Resources.
The course aimed to enhance the scientific and practical capabilities of the participants and improve their job performance by adopting modern methods in managing strategic crops.
The training curriculum included administrative and technical aspects, planning and monitoring mechanisms for wheat growth stages, and the application of smart farming techniques to improve productivity and rationalize water and fertilizer use, thus achieving the sustainability of natural resources.
