Master's Thesis at the University of Basrah Explores the Use of Topp-Leone Distributions for Storage Models
A master's thesis at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Basrah, explored the use of some Topp-Leone distributions in probabilistic storage models, along with their application.
The thesis, submitted by researcher Fatima Ahmed Khalaf, aimed to propose a new probabilistic model, the Topp-Leone Shanker (TLSh) distribution, and estimate its total expected cost, comparing it to the Topp-Leone Rayleigh-Rayleigh (TLRR) distribution based on the EOQ probabilistic storage model.
The study included applying the proposed distribution to monthly demand data for an 11/250 KVA electrical transformer. The results showed the superiority of the TLSh distribution in terms of lower total expected cost, confirming its efficiency compared to the other distribution.
