A Master’s thesis at the University of Basrah examined the design and implementation of image encryption.
The Master’s thesis, conducted at the College of Engineering, University of Basrah, investigated the design and implementation of multi-level image encryption using FPGA technology.
The thesis, submitted by the student Zainab Kareem Ibrahim, aimed to highlight the increasing exchange of data through social media networks, the lack of network security and vulnerability to cyberattacks, and the need to develop advanced algorithms to enhance data protection.
The thesis consisted of four chapters, in which the researcher discussed the need for a fast and secure encryption system to protect images, employing chaos theory in encryption due to its strong security characteristics, particularly its sensitivity to initial conditions and control parameters, which enhance encryption robustness.
