University of Basrah Organizes Awareness Lecture on Intellectual Extremism
The Natural History Museum at the University of Basrah organized an awareness lecture entitled "Intellectual Extremism: Its Causes, Contributing Factors, Effects, and Treatment."
The lecture aimed to highlight the dangers of intellectual extremism and its negative repercussions on individuals and society, explain the causes and factors that contribute to its spread, and clarify the means to prevent and treat it through awareness, education, and the promotion of a culture of tolerance.
The lecture, presented by Professor Maher Awda Bustan, addressed several important topics, including the concept of intellectual extremism, the most prominent social and psychological factors leading to it, its effects on social peace, and a review of educational and cultural methods that contribute to reducing this phenomenon and building a sound societal awareness.
This event is part of a series of educational activities organized by the museum to contribute to strengthening intellectual security and consolidating human and national values within the university community.
