University of Basrah Participates in Specialized Workshop on the Environmental Encyclopedia
The Marine Science Center at the University of Basrah participated in the Second Specialized Workshop of the governmental team involved in the preparation of the Iraqi Environmental Encyclopedia, held at the Al-Alamein Center for Environmental Studies, Climate Change, and Water.
The workshop aimed to unify perspectives regarding the encyclopedia’s content and the mechanisms for its completion.
The event, in which the Director General of the Center, Dr. Shaker Ghalib Ajeel, took part, included in-depth discussion sessions and interactive dialogues among academic and technical teams. These discussions addressed several key themes, including the content of the encyclopedia’s volumes, mechanisms for integrating research and technical efforts, standards of scientific documentation, and strategies to enhance coordination between data-producing entities and research teams. Such efforts contribute to improving the quality of scientific outputs and ensuring their alignment with national sustainable development objectives.
