University of Basrah Organizes Humanitarian Visit to an Orphanage
The College of Dentistry at the University of Basrah organized a humanitarian visit to the Al-Baraem Orphanage, with the participation of a number of faculty members and students, as part of its community programs aimed at promoting a culture of volunteerism and social service.
The initiative sought to instill the principle of social solidarity and enhance students’ humanitarian awareness by engaging them in field activities that help develop their professional skills and strengthen their sense of social responsibility.
The visit included providing logistical support to the children, as well as conducting clinical dental examinations, which involved early detection of oral and dental problems and offering health consultations and guidance on oral care, including preventive measures against tooth decay and gum diseases.
